Today in Condo Spotlight we are looking at
Cardinal House Condominiums. This building is located at the corner of Lee Highway and
Spout Run. The address is 3000 Spout Run Parkway which makes it the only mailing address that’s
on Spout Run Parkway in Arlington. So what neighborhood is it in? Well, we’ll call
it Lyon Village, though technically Lee Highway is the dividing line. Either way, it is walkable
to the Clarendon and Courthouse Metro. You are .75 miles to the Metro, that’s walking
distance. The building was built in 1959 and converted
to condos in 1982. There are a total of 233 units. About 70% of which are 1 bedrooms,
with the remaining being mostly 2 bedrooms as well as a handful of efficiencies. Now if you’re looking for state-of-the-art
amenities and modern decor that will astonish you, you absolutely came to
the wrong place. It’s an older building so not everything will be completely renovated
though the party room has been renovated and you will notice some upgrades throughout the
building. But what is good about an older complex is that the floor plans are much bigger. Amenities at Cardinal House include the outdoor
pool, party room, gym, laundry room, billiard room, sauna, and picnic area. Ok let’s take a look at the top 3 things
you need to know about living at Cardinal House: All-inclusive Condo Fees. When you’re looking
at condos to purchase, your eyes drift from the sales price to the condo fees.
Who here likes high condo fees? At Cardinal House, your condo fees include all utilities
except cable and Internet. A major benefit and money-saver for residents.
No Dogs. Cardinal House allows cats, but does not allow any dogs. You want or have a dog?
Probably shouldn’t live at Cardinal House. But if you current neighbor has a dog that
keeps you up all night or if you are allergic to dogs, you might consider Cardinal House
as a viable solution. Green Space. Cardinal House is great because
it is surrounded by outdoor activities. The Custis Trail is right behind the building,
and you’re a block away from Lyon Village Park, which has tennis courts, a basketball
court, and the spray ground for the kids. There you have it, the top 3 things you need
to know about living in Cardinal House Condominiums. Just to recap, #1 All-Inclusive Condo Fee,
#2 No dogs, and #3 Green Space. As always thanks for watching, sharing my
videos, subscribing, dropping comments, and hitting that thumbs up button, it’s greatly
